Casa Matira is a beautiful large 18th century traditional Italian farmhouse nestling in the foothills of the Apennines, in the gorgeous Umbrian hillside of the Niccone Valley, with breathtaking views across Umbria and Tuscany.

The house is surrounded by five acres of Italian oak, cypress trees and olive groves, providing a haven of rural peace and seclusion, where you can experience an authentic slice of Italian country life.  The area is affectionately referred to as ‘the green heart of Italy’

Our elevated position invites cooler temperatures and gentle breezes. The house is airy and spacious. It sleeps 12 comfortably (however it is also perfect for smaller groups), with six bedrooms, four bathrooms and a wide terrace with a loggia that looks down the valley to Tuscany. The views down the valley from our generous swimming pool are equally stunning.
